The following is a list of letters that I have sent to the Nevada State Board of Equalization:
Attached is a pdf document of the December 19, 2008 letter that I mailed by certified mail and faxed to start my property tax appeal of 5 properties that I am involved with.
I showed up for a hearing of the Clark County Board of Equalization about January 22, 2009 about 8:00am and I did not get my hearing untill about 3pm.
Attached is a pdf document of the February 28, 2009 letter that I sent to the Nevada State Board of Equalization to appeal the decision by the Clark County Board of Equalization.
I showed up for a hearing of the State Board of Equalization at about 8:30am on August 13, 2009 and left about 2:30pm with a proposal to meat with the Clark County Assessor to help me understand how they are calculating the property taxes of the 5 properties under protest
I showed up for a meeting at the Clark County Assessor with Heather Drake, Rocky Steele and Gary Relyea on October 1, 2009. I was told by Rocky Steele that he and the Clark County Assessor agrees to disagree with me and that what I have is what I will get from the Clark County Assessor
Attached is a pdf document of the October 2, 2009 letter that I sent to the State Board of Equalization and the Clark County Assessor.
I showed up to the October 22, 2009 hearing of the State Board of Equalization in Henderson, Nevada at about 8:30 am and left about 2:30pm.
Attached is a pdf document of the November 4, 2009 letter from Heather Drake of the Clark County Assessor stating that she has already given me all of the information that I had requested in my October 2, 2009 letter. This was ordered by the State Board of Equalization in the hearing on October 22, 2009. I was not given any additional information that I did not already have and what I have is not what many laws state that I can get when requested.
Attached is a pdf document of the November 27, 2009 letter that I read into the record of my 1 and 1/2 hearing on December 2, 2009 before the State Board of Equalization.
I showed up to the December 2, 2009 hearing with the State Board of Equalization in Henderson Nevada at 8:30am and left about 11:30am.
Attached is a pdf document of my 10 day demand letter that I handed to the State Board of Equaliztion after they ruled to accept all Clark County Assessor recomendations and none of my requests or points of law on December 2, 2009 after the hearing and vote. I have since mailed this letter by certified mail to the State Board of Equalization, Governor Jim Gibbons, FBI,Clark County Assessor Mark Scofield and Clark County District Attorney.
As of March 26, 2010, I have received back all of my receipts of mail that the above received my 10 day demand letter. I have received no response except for a "Notice of Decision" from the State Board of Equalization. I am attaching the following responses for the five properties under appeal.
1. 1612 Cresthaven Dr. Notice of Decision from the State Board of Equalization.
2. 2385 N. Decatur Notice of Decision from the State Board of Equalization.
3. Larry's Hideaway Notice of Decision from the State Board of Equalization.
4. 4 Acres Land Notice of Decision from the State Board of Equalization.
NRS 361.747 states that the State Board of Equalization shall have the written Notice of Decision to the taxpayer within 60 days of the hearing. The hearing was December 2, 2009 and they mailed to me these four decisions on March 8th and 9th of 2010. This makes these decisions about 38 days late. If we the taxpayer are 38 days late, we would be penalized, but no penalty for the State Board of Equalization.
It is interesting that State Board of Equalization's legal team takes time to make this Notice of Decision seem legal, but they disregard all of the Quotations of law in November 27, 2009 letter that I read into the record and all verbal testimony during the hearing. They have titles as Finding of Fact and Conclusions of Law, but they miss the inportant Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law in my verbal testimony.
Here are the appeal forms for the 2010-11 tax year to the State Board of Equalization for my appeal of 5 properties that I had a hearing on February 26, 2010 in front of the Clark County Board of Equalization.
